The Mundeshwari Devi Temple in Kaimur, Bihar, is one of the oldest functional Hindu temples, dated by the ASI to 108 AD or the 6th-7th century CE, dedicated to Goddess Mundeshwari and Vishnu. Situated at 608 feet on the Mundeshwari Hills, this octagonal structure is a prominent example of early Nagara-style architecture.
